Pre-defined Measures
A common challenge to implementing a performance management system is knowing what to measure. Compass solves that problem with pre-defined measures for each department. Our pre-defined performance measures capture results, productivity, effectiveness and service quality. Each pre-defined metric contains a detailed definition on what and how to record the data, eliminating the challenge of figuring out what to measure. Additionally, you can add any of your own custom metrics.

Dashboards
Compass comes complete with a dashboard to help “drive” your performance in the right direction. Providing a high-level overview of your most important metrics, the dashboard gives you visibility into how your city or department is performing – a key ingredient in managing an efficient operation. Each user can create a “my dashboard” view by selecting key metrics to display on the dashboard. Choose from line or bar charts or benchmarks

Benchmarking
How is your town performing in comparison to your neighbors or other "like" towns? This question is asked every day all over the world, typically without answer. Now, Compass can answer that question. The Compass performance management platform gives you the ability to record your town's performance data and then compare to other similar towns. The sophisticated benchmarking capabilities are enabled through the pre-defined performance measures which solve the “apples to oranges” comparison problem that plagues so many benchmarking efforts. With Compass, you can evaluate how you are performing against goals, prior years or promised outcomes. Reporting and Analysis

Use the trend views to see your performance data over time or export the data to Excel to do your own analysis. The viewing capabilities help you identify areas for improvement. You can compare your performance to targets/goals, past periods or benchmarks. You can also compare two metrics to understand any correlations.
